OTP Bank Romania S.A., member of OTP Group, the largest independent financial group in CEE region, modifies the interest rates for saving account.

Starting today, December 15, 2008, the clients of OTP Bank Romania, who chose to open a savings account or already have it, can place their money with higher interest at OTP Bank; they and also the existent clients, will benefit of an annual interest rate of 12.5% for RON and 5.25% for EUR.
The amount placed on savings account offered by OTP Bank Romania is graduated growth with daily interest, hence it provides higher benefits than the current account. Besides monthly free account maintenance, the owner of the savings account can withdraw money anytime without interest loss.

-free savings account opening and closure
- free account maintenance
- the interest rates are available from the first cent
- 0% income tax
- the possibility to attach a MasterCard debit card to the account, which can be used for shopping all over the country and abroad, anywhere where MasterCard logo is displayed.
- the bank’s clients, who have OTPdirekt contract, can open a savings account through the Contact Center, without the necessity to go to one of OTP Bank Romania’ branch officies.
- the amounts placed in savings account is guaranteed up to 50 000 EUR, equivalent in RON for each account titular by the Deposit Guarantee Fund in the Banking System.
