The EBRD is considering a senior loan to Credit Europe Bank (Romania) SA in the amount of up to EUR 40 million. The financing will be used for on-lending to eligible private micro, small and mediumsized enterprises (MSMEs) in Romania.
The loan facility will support the business development plans of Credit Europe Bank (Romania) SA in the MSME sector, boosting access to finance for eligible MSMEs, in line with the EBRD's policies for MSME lending.

The proposed project will contribute to market expansion through expansion of the MSMEs lendingmarket in Romania. The loan facility will improve access to finance for MSMEs in Romania, by providing long-term funding to Credit Europe Bank (Romania) SA.
