IMF Press Release: Dates for the Visit of the IMF Mission to Romania

The Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Romania and Bulgaria, Guillermo Tolosa, made the following statement today in Bucharest:

“An IMF mission led by Ms. Andrea Schaechter will visit Bucharest from January 27 to February 10, 2015, to conduct discussions on the Article IV consultation and the third review of the precautionary Stand-By Arrangement with Romania, which was approved on September 27, 2013. The mission will discuss with the Romanian authorities recent economic developments and priorities for economic reforms. The discussions related to the IMF/EU-supported program will be held jointly with the teams from the European Commission and the World Bank.

“The mission will also meet with representatives of private sector, trade unions, business associations, political parties, and civil society organizations. The mission will hold a concluding press conference.”
